Watts McCormick transforms childhood car ride soundtracks into contemporary artistry. The Columbia, SC native cut his musical teeth on Usher and Earth, Wind & Fire flowing from his mom’s Honda Odyssey speakers—a sonic foundation that would prove prophetic when he boldly submitted complete Kanye West lyrics as a kindergarten creative writing assignment.

What began as childhood poetry evolved into serious musical exploration during middle school, where McCormick taught himself piano and guitar. High school isolation became creative fuel, leading to his first original composition during a particularly introspective moment alone in his room.

Fresh off his graduation from Clemson University, McCormick has traded academic pursuits for full-time musical ambitions in Charlotte, NC. His journey from backseat listener to emerging artist reflects a deep-rooted passion that he hopes resonates as powerfully with audiences as it does with him.

His single “Flood Water” is expected September 4, 2025.
